Friday October 11, 2001 - 11:14 a.m. They came, and now they are gone. Actually, they left on Monday, but this week feels like it was about one day long, so it feels like they just left. I had me some guests, one Bill and also that enigma that those of you in Diaryland like to call yatpee. Mmmmhmmm. This weekend involved a great many bouncy balls. Also proof that there is another human being (two, actually) on this earth that retains as much useless knowledge as I do. If not more. I can't help it. For some reason, my brain is velcro. But only for the entirely useless stuff. Once, at my former place of employment, a co-worker came up to me and said: "Who invented TNT? What's the story behind it?" I told her. She said: "I knew you would know. Mr. XYZ and I were talking about it and I said I knew who would know." That simultaneously elated and disturbed me. Anyway, they are gone now, and it's eerily as if they were never here. Only a stack of nicely-folded bedding and a smear of toothpaste on the guest bathroom vanity as proof of their visit. Oh, and bouncy balls keep turning up in the weirdest places. They even bagged the bathroom garbage, folks. Weird. And cool. Lastly, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult is coming here. October 22nd. Should any of you party people wish to attend, I can give you directions. Rawr.
